Liberty Fabrics Hesper - Representing Hesper, the personification of the Evening Star, this design depicts a twinkling night sky in vivid hues. Inspired by Matisse’s paper cut-outs, the layout was created by making star shapes in coloured card and layering them up, before carefully scanning the result into the computer. An inversed shadow has been added, to give depth to the design. Hesper is part of the Universe story of our Autumn/Winter 2023 collection - reflecting the enduring symbolic power of stories to explain the world around us, these designs capture a realm of fierce passion and drama.
Their Tana Lawn™ cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in our very own Liberty Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, Tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. Machine washable and durable enough for daily wear, it can be used to create everything from simple separates to spectacular statement pieces.
